Healthcare reform moves ever closer to requiring bundled payments for acute- and post-acute care providers — with the acute provider controlling the “bundle.” It is imperative that skilled nursing facilities with rehabilitation services for short-term-stay patients establish themselves as the post-acute partner of choice in the healthcare continuum.
